Hi! My name is Amber! I'm a Virtual, private practice Therapist in Kansas and Missouri. I take a social justice approach to counseling and therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Some of my focuses are supporting ENM folks, LGBTQIA+ members, Transgender and gender questioning people, members of the kink community, sex workers, and people practicing various forms of non-monogamy including swinging and polyamory. I have formal training in trauma therapy and EMDR. I also work with clients battling Weight Stigmas, clients with Attachment trauma, and religious Trauma, substance use disorders, and grief.
I strive to center my practice around anti-racism and intersectional feminism while also trying to stay aware of my privileges and how they might affect my clients. I am neurodivergent and love connecting with my neurodivergent clients in our similarities and differences! I use an eclectic approach to therapy based on each individual's personal needs.
I'm also a licensed cosmetologist in Missouri since 2005. Feel free to ask me all the hair and skin care questions!
