If your relationship feels broken, there is hope.
“Rekindled Connections” is my signature coaching program designed to help couples rebuild intimacy & reignite passion. What if you & your partner could have the relationship of your dreams, even if you’re sure the spark has died. What if you can fix your relationship without years of therapy, even if your partner seems un-coachable. Coaching reconnects relationships through face-to-face or videoconferencing sessions paired with supporting psycho-educational skills to practice in between your sessions. Your relationship can thrive, not just struggle.

I continue to compliment my practice with theory, and highlight a collaborative relationship to move toward client's/s' goal attainment.
"I believe that life should be lived with passion and meaning. Anything that is getting in the way of this can be changed or accepted. Through counseling, I will help you alter the course you and your loved ones are traveling in a compassionate and nonjudgmental way. Together, we will find more passion and meaning in your life." My academic training began at the University of Notre Dame, with a B.A., continued at the University of Dayton, with a MS.Ed., and concluded with a Ph.D. at Kent State University.

I focus on my clients struggles in the moment and let them know that working with me means being in a safe, non-judgmental space. I want to help those through the difficult times in their lives and help my clients become and grow to who they want to be. I welcome my clients with kindness, professionalism, and empathy. Many of my clients have stated the one thing that they appreciate about me is that I am myself with them and it makes them feel comfortable to open up about their struggles and be honest.

If you are sitting there and wondering to yourself why do I feel this way, why am I not living or producing the life that I desire or maybe you have had some traumatic events in your life that you desire to break through so that you can engage again in life, or that you do not feel comfortable in your own skin. I am here to help with over 21 years of experience in counseling and specializing in psychopathology. I use humor in my sessions to help build rapport and to help clients experience laughter in their day.

Mindy is a second-year Master's student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Indiana University, Bloomington. She is a life-long learner and believes there is always room for growth and new beginnings. She has been a client and fully appreciates how intimidating it can be to take that first step, but she is on this new path in part because of how much she benefited from working with a counselor. She hopes to help others who might be feeling a little stuck, distressed or uncertain. She strives to bring her authentic self, flaws & all, into each session to create a safe space for honest sharing & reflection.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
