I am a queer person of color and I work with people of all genders and sexualities. The larger systems we interact with impact our daily life and how we relate to others in relationship. I work with individuals, couples, and families. I am experienced in working with Trans, BIPOC, and Enby identities.

**Now Accepting New Clients** I see adults and adolescents who typically present with anxiety and/or depression. If I had to name just one specialty, it would be anxiety. Most people suffer some form of it at some point in their lives. When left untreated, it can lead to more severe symptoms and a whole host of diagnoses. I practice primarily Cognitive Behavioral techniques. I will talk to you about your beliefs, expectations, and how you experience the world. I'll teach you to be more accepting of yourself, so you can stop judging and reacting from created stories. I will also help you improve foundational behaviors.

I have experience working alongside clients with complex trauma, navigating grief, codependency patterns, addictions and relational trauma. I have worked with families, children, teens and adults with varieties of mental health conditions, challenging behaviors and histories of trauma. I cultivate a practice that emphasizes the importance of a body-mind connection through Brainspotting, IFS parts work, somatic embodiment, breath-work, decolonized and anti-racist framework that encourages stored bodily trauma to process and release. I have expertise in trauma-informed alignment based yoga practice.

I am passionate about empowering folks to live a life full of meaning and connection. At the core of my client work is the desire to support people in feeling safer in their bodies, more secure in their relationships, and more fully present in their day-to-day lives. My purpose is to provide you with a welcoming & supportive space, compassionate perspective, and valuable tools to guide you in developing more self-kindness, feeling safer in your body, improving your relationships, and designing a life worth living on your own terms.

By curiously hearing and understanding your life story through our professional relationship, I hope to unburden you of your pain and help you remove road blocks which might be keeping you from experiencing greater pleasure. I work with adults ranging in age from 18 through post retirement years and specialize in treating life transitions, relationship concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma, infertility, adoption, postpartum depression, grief, loss, and divorce. I'm sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion, am interested in working with people from various cultural backgrounds, and am a LGBTQ ally.

The cards we are dealt are often unfair/unequal. We did not choose the bodies we were born into, the parents or caretakers we were given, the environments we grew up in, our pain or trauma, our financial situation, or the injustices woven into the systems we inherited. We are not responsible for what is inflicted upon us, but we are responsible for our healing. Like the water carves through rock, you too can start upon the path and life you desire. You can cultivate this with time and attention, identifying your goals and values, and learning to extend the same love and grace you give to others to yourself.

Living with a mental health challenge like anxiety, depression, OCD, or an eating disorder can feel like carrying a boulder on your back 24/7. Of course, none of us would choose that— so it can be strange to think that it’s possible to choose something different through engaging in therapy. But the magic of neuroplasticity and therapeutic change can absolutely support you in finally setting that boulder down (or… maybe we can smash it into a million pieces together. )

I work with individuals and partnerships who are neurodivergent (ASD, ADHD) those in “alternative” relationship structures (LGBTQIA+, ENM, poly, open, swinging, kink), those who have experienced trauma, struggle with depression or anxiety, are hoping to do some self-exploration (sexual, gender, career, religious, etc.), or are looking for a change. Because every person is unique, your needs and desires will also be unique. I approach my work through a trauma-informed lens, using evidence-based practices that find a balance between thinking and feeling and emphasize the importance of connection, experience and safety.

Restoration Counseling Center was founded by three Christian Counselors in Franklin, Tennessee, who share a vision for providing healing, grace and professionalism to those experiencing brokenness in relationship to self, others and God. As a licensed psychologist, I provide evidence-based treatment to meet the individualized needs of each person. As of August 2023, I have relocated my practice from Houston, TX to Nashville, TN. I am now scheduling fall in-person psychological, psychoeducational, and school neuropsychological assessments and therapy sessions in Nashville, TN and telepsychology appointments in the 39 PSYPACT states.
