My goal is to provide compassionate therapy services, working in collaboration with you to help you meet your goals and guide you through the healing process. I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges, including dating, relationships, trauma, violence and assault, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-harm, and sexuality or gender identity diversity. My background includes victim advocacy and outreach, clinical crisis counseling, animal assisted therapy, and human sexuality education. I have extensive experience working with people seeking to overcome traumatic life events - sexual violations, abuse, neglect, extreme acts of violence - but have found that, in the end, it can sometimes be the seemingly small, overlooked wounds that take longest to heal. Focus: college students and professionals struggling with depression, anxiety, and/or relationship issues. I'm trained in evidence-based therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which concludes that through mindful meditation, we can defuse ourselves from our thoughts and emotions, allowing us to commit to value-congruent actions in a way that brings us life purpose. I am also passionate about working with couples, helping them navigate through their struggles at any point in their relationship or deal with sensitive issues. Lastly, I'm a sex-positive Sex Therapist who welcomes individuals to explore their sexual issues in a safe and non-judgmental setting.

I am accepting new clients as of 4/15/2024. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years of experience, specializing in working with the adult and senior population. I have a deep understanding of individuals and families facing various difficulties, including depression, anxiety, trauma, mental illness, loss, and grief, hospice, later life out of home moves and adjustments, independent and assisted living transitions (elder life), domestic violence, chronic and terminal illness.

I have extensive experience with mood disorders, trauma and addictions and work with all ages. I am trained in EMDR and use that technique with both children and adults if appropriate. My clients often state when they first spoke to me they felt immediately at ease and did not feel judged. I am able to assist my clients in seeing patterns in their life story and work to identify and change core beliefs such as "I'm not good enough", "I'm defective" or "I cannot trust others."
