She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Mary Hardin, Baylor, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing degree from the University of South Alabama. Before working as a nurse practitioner, Elizabeth has over 12 years of experience in bedside nursing, transitional care unit, psychiatric unit, pediatric/adult home health, and Medical-surgical/neurology/neurosurgery unit

Dr. Karolyn Skalany focuses on providing patient centered medical care for the treatment of depression, anxiety, panic disorder, ADHD, and insomnia. Dr. Skalany is also a specialist in female reproductive psychiatry, including perinatal and post-partum depression, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder, and mood issues related to perimenopause.
