I have been practicing general adult psychiatry since 1997 and have extensive expertise in evaluating and treating individuals of all ages, as well as treating a wide variety of emotional and mental conditions that range from mood/anxiety disorders, substance abuse, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and eating disorders to consulting with clients about grief, trauma, work stress, relationship problems, adoption, legal cases, disability, and other major life changing events. I utilize biopsychosocial approach to mental illness that takes into account each individual's physical health, environment, and psychological experiences throughout their life.

I work with clients of all ages to help maximize functioning at home, work, school, and in social settings. Clients often feel overwhelmed with mental health struggles, and I develop a therapeutic relationship to build the foundation of my care. Citadel Behavioral Health Services provides outpatient psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, consultation, medication management, and brief focused therapy services. We are open Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

I provide quality and cost affordable care to all my clients On the first encounter I collect information’s from the client and start to build a therapeutic relationship with the client. Giving each of my client an opportunity to know me, gain trust and answer any questions or doubts one might have concerning their mental health. I'm a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner treating a broad spectrum of clients and families with various psychiatric problems including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, panic disorder, mood disorder and PTSD. She provides a combination comprehensive evaluation and medication management. She graduated from University of Texas with her Family Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree (MSN) and Wilmington University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP). Dr. Mamo is member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society.

Dr. Isela Werchan is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general psychiatry. Dr. Werchan completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at El Paso. She received a medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed a general psychiatry residency training at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. She was Chief Resident and awarded the VA Outstanding Resident Award and the Van Dao Award. Her training experience includes the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, traumatic and obsessive compulsive disorders, as well as psychotic disorders.

I hold a dual board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I have a broad background and have served as a psychiatric care clinician in various health care settings such as outpatient, acute inpatient, group homes, and telemedicine.
