When experienced on daily basis, these can significantly interfere with our performance and relationships. We wish to be happy, to perform at our best. Luminous Cares, LLC, is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Provider, an expertise in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, medication management, and consultation, from children to adults (including Geriatrics) with psychiatric-mental health concerns. We pride ourselves in providing care dedicated to the spirit, soul and body of the individual; placing compassion, empathy and immediate response to emerging recovery/wellness issues. We maintain a data base of referrals for special therapies and for clients with medical problems. To foster the mental health of our population, we accept other insurances, plus medicare.

Quick appointments are available. I am board certified in Child & Adolescent psychiatry and provide medication management and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents and young adults, ages 8-22, with mental health conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, Depression, OCD, Panic, Mood Disorder, Stress, and Anxiety. I have been practicing psychiatry for over 17 years and was recognized by the NJ Top Doctor magazine as a Top Psychiatrist in 2019. I provide help using a comprehensive approach to treatment. I have frequent sessions with patients which allows me to monitor them closely to minimize side effects.

Here at the Venn Center, we offer patients a unique therapeutic experience. I conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments, as well as provide both individual and group psychotherapy to clients of all ages. I also offer pharmacotherapy and medication management when appropriate. That being said, 25% of my patients are not on any medication since I employ non-medicinal interventions that help remediate psychiatric symptoms whenever possible. Offering these complementary services allows the clients I work with to feel empowered in their desire for change toward a healthier way of being.

My end goal is to restore and solidify feelings of stability and well-being into the lives of each and every single one of my clients. I work hard to advocate for all of my clients, especially those that struggle to be heard or well-respected. As a board-certified nurse in family psychiatry and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice in psychiatry, I have garnered extensive experience in evidence-based patient-oriented practice. I have worked in this field for over 13 years with experience at different nursing levels and a strong grasp of holistic mental heath care.

Sadness, ADD, addiction, relationships, other anguish? No matter what pain you bear, there is hope, with care, scientific evidence, and if needed legal help. For every problem, there are solutions: I have witnessed personal change, growth at any age. For children: identity and learning; for adults work/other responsibilities, or staying active and fully enjoying the wisdom of a mature life. Together we identify the issue(s), talking support CBT therapy and/or medication including natural complementary, exercises, work coaching. For fees, I work flexibly with those patients who have out of network coverage so they are reimbursed.

Dr. Eric Finkiel, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Eric completed his undergraduate education in nursing at New Jersey City University. He received a master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Rutgers University, and a post graduate certificate as a PMHNP from the University of Cincinnati. Eric went on to receive his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from University of Massachusetts, Boston. Eric has been working as a nurse practitioner for over seven years and has extensive experience treating a variety of medical diagnosis.

I distinguish myself by having a down-to-earth, collaborative approach to treatment. My practice is in an ultra-private, peaceful location and offer 24/7 accessibility to my clients.
