My current practice focuses on the psychopharmacology of the major mental health disorders: Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I am accepting new patients, ages 14 and older

I have a comfortable private office in Chapel Hill conveniently located off Hwy 15/501 close to I-40 exit. I am in solo-practice, however, share the office suite with two psychotherapists in private practice. --- My practice is rooted in holistic nursing. I see my role as helping people to reach their full potential and achieve their goals. To do so, I judiciously prescribe medications to alleviate excess anxiety, worry, anger, and lethargy. I believe that many issues also need to be addressed with other forms of therapy or life style changes.

I use a complete approach to patient care, with emphasis on providing psychoeducation to patients and their families on the mind-body connection. I encourage my patients to be active advocates and participants in their treatment planning and care, including the use of complementary and natural therapies. I am also a strong proponent of optimizing outcomes through the concurrent use of therapy and mindfulness training in addition to pharmacological and other treatments. I appreciate working with all types of individuals and their unique concerns.

CEH offers traditional and alternative mental health services to ensure our patients have the best treatment and support available. CEH offers the following services: virtual + in-office appointments, therapy + counseling, medication management, medicated assisted treatment for substance abuse + veteran support services. CEH provides treatment for patients ages 4 and older, with a less-than two-week waiting period guaranteed at our 50+ office locations. CEH is conveniently located throughout North Carolina including Asheville, Boone, Concord, Charlotte, Raleigh, Statesville, Winston, and Wilmington; we also have offices in Florida.

Given training in both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry, I have expertise in the intimate links between the mind and the body. My medical training and experience are enhanced by post-graduate study of modern psychoanalytic technique. This unique combination of skills allows me to treat patients with mood (Depression and Bipolar), trauma, and psychotic disorders. I am well suited to offer both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.
