If we had traumatic experiences, we learned to shut down in a more complex way and feel disconnected from life. There is an intelligence that helped you to survive and to get to the present moment. However, habits and coping that helped you in the past may no longer work and inhibit you in finding your true potential and joy. Now is the time for you to seek support to take a new look. Finding a skilled therapist may be what you need.
As a therapist, I use an existential-humanistic core philosophy and integrate a broad array of therapy techniques with emphasis on experiential approaches. I believe people have the capacity for self-awareness and choice. I help my clients to accept themselves and embrace their full potential for growth and change. For more info see also my website.
As a Nurse Practitioner, I also will be able to prescribe medications if we agree that this would be helpful. I also offer Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
