She has special interest in treating OCD. Most importantly, there is a promise to continuity of care and seeing Dr. Verma, a board certified Psychiatrist, at every single visit. At Synergy NeuroPsychiatry, our approach is an integrated one, tailoring to patient’s individual needs and treating them as a whole individual. We coordinate care with Primary Care Physician, Neurology, and therapists.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 15 years of experience in the field. I am currently accepting new patients and have immediate openings. Melissa has worked in the Greater Lansing community in mental health support for nearly 19 years. Her experience includes teaching yoga and meditation, supporting community members with access and inclusion, psychiatric nursing, and psychiatric nurse practitionership. I take a holistic approach to psychiatric care. A complete assessment is done at every initial visit which includes a diagnostic interview and medication management if the person chooses. I provide information and the person chooses how they want to move forward. Laura uses an evidenced based philosophy to treat each individual, making a plan of care based on unique needs. She believes in the development of therapeutic relationship and building a collaborative approach to client care. Outside of work, Laura's family feeds her soul, she loves to hang out, eat out, goof around and be together.
