Medication management is just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to overall mental health. Educating patients regarding diet, exercise, and sleep routines is part of every visit. This approach is used to enhance a client's overall well being, not just one component. I take a patient-centered approach to treatment and regularly ask for feedback. Despite my love of nursing, I saw a more significant role I could play within the healthcare community and decided to pursue my Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) at Michigan State University. My main focus is to improve the quality of life of my patients. I am particularly interested in treating depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and ADHD.
I believe mental health is vital for overall well-being from childhood through adulthood. To date, I’ve found the most success working with teenagers and adults. My kind, compassionate, and empathetic personality influences my practice, and I am passionate about seeing my patients flourish and improve their overall health.
