Connecting with each client is a vital part of my practice. I view each person as important, not “a number“. I find checking in regularly about goals and current satisfaction helps foster a trusting client/provider relationship focused on growth. I work with each person in identifying barriers that could hinder therapy and medication from working. I firmly believe that positive mental health and well-being do not happen in “a vacuum”, but many factors affect this, therefore a holistic approach is required to achieve lasting results.
I have extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, but have found helping individuals in the community to be most fulfilling. My expertise is in utilizing the best evidence available to guide psychopharmacological treatment while incorporating a holistic approach unique to the individual.
I take pride in staying up-to-date with current research, utilizing evidence-based practice, and keeping familiar with the latest data. My extensive and varied work experience allows me to have empathy and understanding for all of my clients no matter what their story holds.
