As a Stanford trained psychiatrist with 25 years of clinical experience, I tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual's particular needs and goals. Psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness based approaches are used, along with medication. I treat mood disorders, anxiety, relationship problems, women's issues, disordered eating, and adjustments such as divorce, loss, medical problems, career changes. Medication is best managed in the context of a therapeutic relationship. I believe in the role lifestyle and physical health can play on emotional health, and I incorporate these principles into my therapy practice.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist committed to providing compassionate mental health care. I have extensive experience working with young and older adult populations, treating mood disorders and behavioral problems. Common conditions I work with include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

I have been involved in medical research, medical activism and have held several leadership roles. Since graduation I have worked in settings with severe mental illness and patients who have treatment-resistant illness. These experiences have helped me to excel at Psychopharmacology as I have extensive knowledge using a variety of medications. I have training in working with diverse populations in a variety of clinical settings. I am warm, compassionate, understanding, and culturally sensitive. This helps guide me into forming an accurate diagnosis and medication plan for each individual patient.

Dr. Deborah Fein is a psychiatrist in private practice providing mental health services in Los Angeles. Her treatment is focused on providing a personalized experience, throughout the entire course of treatment.
