Dr. Begel received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Yale University, where he also completed his residency in psychiatry. At Yale he studied the conceptual foundations of psychiatry and the core principles of diverse treatment methods. Today he treats people for a wide variety of issues, from the seemingly mild to the severe. He is up to date on psychiatric research and treatment, and utilizes the full range of methods in his work, including genetic analysis, psychotherapy, and medication management.

Each person I encounter has a unique story, and my role is to be a compassionate guide, fostering a safe space for you to express your thoughts and emotions. I am board certified in psychiatry and neurology, and trained in functional medicine. I specialize in adult/geriatric, reproductive, and adolescent psychiatry.
