I have over 15 years of experience working with teens and adults. My passions include treating sexual and other trauma (including complex PTSD) and providing affirming care to the transgender and nonbinary community (ages 14+). Practicing with an eclectic approach, I borrow techniques and theory from several different areas (DBT, IFS, EMDR, Humanism and psychoeducation). My clients are partners in therapy; we work together to find what works best for each person. My clients tell me that they feel safe and valued in our sessions. I am dually licensed in both Texas and Oregon.

Families, I know you're exhausted. The worry about your child, and constant wonder if there is more you can do for them - I know you would do almost anything to help your child, or find a teacher who really gets them. I strive to be just that. I live for empowering children, and showing adults how to see them in their best light by integrating the science of human behavior and the Montessori social pediatric model. My aim is to acknowledge the concerns you have, and offer collaborative, compassionate, evidence-based, and practical strategies that align with your family’s goals. I am here to serve all families. No diagnosis required.

Connection is essential for growth, but there are times when we feel disconnected or alone. This could show up as communication struggles with a partner, a rupture like infidelity, or the pain of a breakup. In therapy, I provide a space where you can feel truly heard and supported, helping you reconnect—with yourself or within your relationship. By fostering open, vulnerable conversations, you can heal and find deeper, more meaningful connections, whether you're navigating challenges alone or with a partner.

We live in a world where we are expected to do it all, perfectly, and without struggling. We are constantly comparing ourselves to others and we declare ourselves "not good enough." These feelings tend to dictate our response to those around us, so that we are really just reacting to what is going on behind the scenes without even realizing it. I believe that a lot of the issues that present on the surface -- family issues, addiction, depression, and anxiety -- can be treated by focusing on overcoming shame, negative self-talk, and trauma. If this can be done, then the chances of improving your quality of life increases.

Northwest Counseling & Wellness Center offers an alternative to Western, bio-medical based interventions to suffering. We embrace a holistic approach, appreciating the human capacity to heal 'from the 'inside out' and to not rely solely on deficit-based, medicinally controlled approaches promoted by conventional Western medicine. We help clients discover and engage in their own potential to manage, overcome, and navigate hardships in life.

The goal of this group is to create a safe space for people who have experienced the loss of animals they were very close with to express those painful emotions. Animals can show humans such deep forms of love that they may never experience from another person. As loss does not happen in a vacuum, the loss of this unique relationship can effect many aspects of a person's life. I hope that you would consider joining this group as we work through this difficult experience.

As a therapist, I work to create a safe and nurturing environment that allows for self-inquiry and for exploration of the many parts that make up our beings. Together, we can explore and build upon your existing strength and capabilities in order to cultivate greater happiness and fulfillment. We will also work to nurture and make peace with the parts of yourself that you may fear or dislike. I believe that each individual and family brings to therapy everything that they need to make change, and it is my privilege to help you discover those parts of yourself that may lie deep within.
