I work with clients who are experiencing any of the anxiety disorders; Generalised Anxiety Disorder (ie, worrying a lot of the time about different things), OCD, Panic Attacks, PTSD, Body Dismorphic Disorder and Health Anxiety. I also work with Depression and low self esteem. In addition, I offer a space to explore life issues and relationship difficulties although I do not offer couples' counselling. I generally work with clients on a medium term basis so around about 12-15 sessions per difficulty.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, person-centered therapy, psychodynamic thinking and in my work. CBT is very helpful for many of the low mood and anxiety disorders. However, sometimes clients need more space to explore underlying issues to make connections with how they are feeling and behaving. I also offer EMDR for trauma based work.
We will spend the initial session or two exploring your main difficulties and goals for treatment. I am flexible with how I work with clients. I can offer daytime or evening appointments. I offer a free initial telephone conversation for you to ask any questions you may have.
