Relationship Issues Counselling in LS7
I work with bereavement, anxiety, trauma, depression and relationship issues.
You might turn to therapy for a number of reasons: having faced a life-changing event: trauma, bereavement, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or low self- esteem. You may struggle with functioning day to day, or feel overwhelmed by feelings and emotions that you don’t understand. Past life events can also get in the way of living your life in the present moment, and you may struggle to connect with others and feel isolated. Perhaps you feel as though no one really listens, or understands what you are going through. This is where confidential help and support in the form of therapy could be the answer.

I can support you with a wide range of issues such as; anxiety, relationship difficulties, persistent low mood or depression, low self-esteem, and grief, loss, or change.
People seek therapy for many different reasons. It might be that you just don’t feel happy, or you’re anxious or depressed and want to make changes in your life but you’re not sure how. Patterns of behaviour that you developed a long time ago may now feel frustrating and unhelpful. Good therapy can help you to better understand these patterns and, when necessary, challenge them and how you perceive yourself. This awareness can help you become a more authentic and resilient version of yourself.

I am committed to building a meaningful therapeutic relationship with you.
Do you sometimes feel invisible or like an outsider, as if you don't belong? Does life feel like an uphill battle most of the time? Do you feel exhausted, desperate or overwhelmed? You may even be feeling a deep sense of frustration, anxiety or anger. Your upbringing, cultural background or significant life events can affect the way you view yourself and how you respond to your world. Sometimes we can become overwhelmed by our own self limiting beliefs and destructive patterns.

Therapy and/or counselling is for anyone People come for therapy for all sorts of reasons, and in all sorts of states. And I meet all sorts of people in my consulting room. You don’t have to be ‘ill enough’ or ‘sane enough’ or ‘distressed enough’ to make use of therapy: you just have to want to come and talk… or even not talk, if that’s what you need to do.

Are you overwhelmed with events, feelings or relationships? Have you reached the point where you just need some support? You might be struggling with your past, with relationships, a bereavement or feeling a pressure to be something you're not. Many of my clients have had early life experiences that are really difficult to bear, contributing to anxiety, depression or both. They are coping, and surviving, but maybe in ways that they don't want to do any more.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
