A fully accredited psychotherapist with over 16 years of experience, my passion is using creativity to help clients move forwards with positivity. I gained an MA in Music Psychotherapy in 2009 and set up my own creative therapies practice in 2016. My experience includes providing therapy in adult mental health settings and I especially enjoy a person-centred approach. I enjoy working with families as well as 1:1 therapy. My approaches include psychodynamic, person-centred, integrative and systemic. My work has been wide-ranging, encompassing community, corporate and education.
The first stage is to meet the client/family for an initial assessment and from there the most suitable plan for therapy would be drawn up. This would include thinking about long-term therapy or shorter pieces of work. Each step of the process is talked about closely with the client so that the plan is a collaborative process.
The sessions can take all shapes and forms, ranging from just simply talking or using more creative methods.
