From these experiences, I have found that utilizing a person-centered, and solution-focused approach has been most beneficial in creating a collaborative and meaningful therapeutic relationship.
Hello! I am a Registered Psychotherapist working at New Roots Therapy. I have worked with concerns related to mood/stress disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Having the opportunity to work with those who are in a vulnerable situation, has allowed myself to understand the importance of working with client’s strengths in order to create a collaborative and meaningful experience. Individuals have solutions to the challenges they face but are often unaware of them and are intimidated by the complexity of a system that can seem daunting. I am here to assist navigate this system in a way that makes sense to you.

** I am currently accepting new clients** Mental health is important to me, as I am sure it probably is to you as well. I believe that at its core, therapeutic practice is rooted in the belief that our problems do not lie in us but between; in our relationship with ourselves and with others.

My goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment as we build a trusting and respectful therapeutic relationship.
Everyone goes through difficult times and we all experience it in very different ways. Making the choice to go to counselling to improve your life is the first step on your journey towards recovery, contentment and improving your relationships. Counselling offers support to those who struggle with emotions of anger and sadness, feelings of anxiety and fear, relationship issues, PTSD and addictions. It involves an investment of your time, money and hard work, but can open up a whole new world of healing, balance, motivation and self worth. I provide discounts to first responders, their families and people with financial difficulties.

Namaste! I provide individual, relationship and marriage counselling, in a nonjudgmental, relaxed environment. Over the last 35 years I have worked with individuals and couples guiding, teaching and helping them by using an eclectic approach, and a variety of different types of modalities depending on the particular needs of my clients. I also provide family mediation and relationship counselling for couples who have split. I am a sex therapist, working with all couples and individuals. I specialize in many areas, as I believe all issues are connected, so to treat problems in isolation is unrealistic and can be short lived.

I believe in a collaborative approach that empowers and motivates you during the therapeutic process. It's important to me to not only understand and address your concerns throughout therapy, but also to remind you of your strengths and capacity to contribute to goal setting and problem solving.

Life and relationships can be challenging. Whether it is your relationship with your spouse, partner, friend, teenager, or child it takes work to make a strong, lasting and healthy relationships work. Finding hope in what seems to be a hopeless situation sometimes requires support, encouragement and assistance to envision a future with promise and possibilities.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
