Because Newport’s philosophy of care views family as central to long-term, sustainable healing, the groundbreaking Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) methodology is also a central component of our approach. ABFT is proven to be successful in addressing adolescent and young adult suicidality by repairing ruptures in the parent-child relationship. Our clinicians receive ongoing training and consultation from ABFT’s co-founders, and are also trained in a wide range of other evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities, including EMDR, DBT, CBT, and ACT.

Crescent Moon Recovery provides treatment for addiction and co-occurring disorders through programs spanning the outpatient continuum of care including our Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) Programs anchored in evidence-based practices delivering participant-centered care. We listen to the unique backgrounds of our participants as well as their unique treatment needs and challenges to develop a personalized treatment plan for each participant. The program’s clinical components are provided in conjunction with nonclinical components fostering the development of self-care practices and resilience in recovery including a commitment to healthy living involving diet, activity, mindfulness, and sleep; and facilitating the development of healthy support networks with fellow participants at Crescent Moon Recovery and local 12-step or other peer-led recovery groups where an existing support infrastructure is already present.

San Diego Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) serves adults age 18 and older who are suffering from opioid addictions. We offer medication-assisted treatment — also known as MAT — which combines prescription medication and counseling to help people stop opioid use and lay a foundation for lasting recovery. The medications provided through MAT can help relieve the challenging symptoms associated with opioid withdrawal, making it easier for patients to successfully navigate withdrawal and focus on recovery. By receiving medication through a MAT program, people can also gain the mental clarity they may need to participate fully in treatment. MAT is research-supported and recommended for opioid addiction treatment by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). In addition to supporting the physical and emotional elements of recovery, it can improve a person’s social functioning and help them remain in treatment.
