Private pay sessions for 60$ dollars, couples 75$, I take most insurance and the insurance I accept is increasing. I have experience of over 35 years expert professional, licensed in 3 states, CA, VA and WA. Currently in the Wash DC area on assignment with the DOD working with Military Families and providing therapy virtually to clients in California and Washington State. I'm a certified expert provider in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, Family Dynamics and specialist and a DOD consult in Combat, childhood trauma, PTSD Psychotherapy. I also provided Christian counseling upon request.

I've spent 12 years in a private practice working with folks who are seeking help with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. I work with clients who are seeking a space for self-reflection and growth, and help in building relationship skills and coping strategies that can help them move through life in a more skillful way. I love working with people, and I use a warm and compassionate approach, not without direct and honest feedback. I'm often described as gentle and grounding, providing a comfortable space for the work of therapy.

Currently accepting new patients, Saturday and evening appointments available. My practice focuses on working with individuals who are processing significant transitions within their lives, particularly those related to developmental processes such as career change, retirement and family care-giving challenges. With an emphasis on creating meaning and exploring new potentials, our work together will help you act intentionally rather than reacting in response to old patterns that may no longer fit the person you are becoming.

I work to provide warm and consistent support for those who may be experiencing grief, life after trauma, or a significant change.

I specialize in supporting folks struggling with relationship issues and with major life transitions (moves, job loss, divorce, vocation and career changes, etc.). Often, depression, anxiety, trauma/complex trauma, and other mental wellness challenges show up in these areas. By working collaboratively on your counseling goals, I use research based, collaborative, nonjudgmental, and respectfully engaged approaches to understand your counseling needs and address them at a pace and in a way that's right for you.

Unfortunately I am not taking new clients at this time. I specialize in building strong, vibrant, supportive relationships. Everything I do begins with providing a safe and caring space where you feel open and entirely welcome. I aim to help you feel better from our first session, encouraged that you can achieve lasting change, utilizing your struggles as opportunities to grow and transform. I begin with the attachment premise that we are relational beings and need one another.

Accepting new clients. My clients are survivors of their respective challenges, trauma, or circumstances and they are ready to empower themselves to seek change. Clients who work with me are tired of the hardship caused by their symptoms and by the bias, stigma, abuse, or other forms of oppression in their lives. My clients are ready to engage in the liberating work required to make meaning and to find healing and growth toward a future that they define.
