South Sound Behavioral Hospital's mission is to provide a supportive, compassionate, and innovative environment of patient centered care. Located in Lacey, WA -- South Sound Behavioral Hospital opened its doors in July 2019 to meet the needs of a rapidly growing South Sound region with a 108-bed, state-of-the-art, freestanding psychiatric facility. Nine units provide group-facilitated, short-term specialized treatment for behavioral health and co-occurring disorders (mental illness and substance abuse) for adults within a secure unit.

The Emily Program offers specialty treatment for eating disorders dedicated to giving all people access to best-practice care and the tools they need for lasting recovery. The Emily Program offers all levels of care, from 24/7 residential care through outpatient services. In-person and virtual treatment options are available. Multidisciplinary treatment teams aim to equip individuals, families, and communities with the skills necessary to continue recovery in the home environment. We provide an integrative approach for people of all ages and genders who struggle with food issues, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, compulsive eating, Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders (OSFED), Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorders (ARFID), and related mental health and body image issues. We base our evaluations on the individual. A specific diagnosis along with treatment recommendations is offered. Encountering issues with alcohol or other drugs does not necessarily warrant a diagnosis for chemical dependency. While in the process of recovery we help you determine your life goals and ambitions. Our treatment center offers specialty Psychiatry services TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) and Spravato (esketamine) for treatment-resistant depression cases. These services also can have some ancillary benefits for Anxiety, PTSD, and OCD, but our primary treatment focus is on MDD (major depressive disorder).
