Hello! Hola! I’m Dr. Vanesa Cervantes, and I’m a Family and Child Psychologist. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults. I believe that every person has the potential to thrive and overcome challenges they may be currently facing. My treatment approach is collaborative, by working together we can develop healthy coping skills, strengthen your social and emotional health and empower you to understand and manage your emotions, behaviors, and social relationships. Through our work together you can expect to also learn effective parenting skills that can strengthen your bond and communication with your child.
I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, acting out behaviors, low self-esteem, identity, life transitions, parental separation/divorce, anger, and peer conflict. I strive to create a warm, accepting, creative, and exploratory environment for all of my patients.
I also specialize in Women’s Therapy and have years of experience empowering and supporting women through some of the most challenging life experiences. I make sure to provide a breathing space for women to process their biggest fears and challenge themselves to create meaningful change in their lives.
