I am a licensed professional counselor with a specialty in child/adolescence, emerging adults, and family counseling. I also provide parent coaching and individual therapy. I have worked with issues including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harming, mood disorders, personality disorders, couples issues, family system issues, life adjustments, grief and loss, ADHD, and more. I have worked with adoption issues, divorce difficulties, and many different types of families and parenting. I enjoy collaborating with my clients to help understand their individual needs and working towards their personal goals.

Together the client and I chart a treatment plan that supports the client in using their skills and my knowledge. I have been married for the past 16 years and have 5 children of my own, and I understand the common struggles of maintaining a working relationship with a spouse and with children. I spent 10 years working with the foster care system, and I spent the last 4 years supervising a school counseling program and conducting individual counseling for an array of individuals.

I am an artist and practicing License Professional Counselor and Bio-energetic Analyst. I have trained extensively in psychodynamic psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and analytic somatic psychotherapy and bio-energetics. A trained sculptor and painter, I also draw on the synergy of expressive arts and counseling. Working with individuals, couples and groups - my approach is somatic, existential, and influenced by Jungian ideas. I also work extensively with the Jungian practice of Active Imagination.
