Shay has worked for over 5 years in the mental health field and has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She is a licensed social worker in both Utah and Florida, and has experience working with children, teens, adults, and families.She is passionate about using a trauma-informed, attachment focused, and strengths-based as well as solution-focused approach when working with clients. She has experience using modalities such as play and art therapy, sand tray therapy, CBT/DBT, and EMDR.

My approach is an affirmative space. I help many navigate the difficult journey of their faith crises and revolutions. This is a very hard time to navigate and the universe is calling us to heal. I don't judge ANY of my clients and I meet them where they are at to work on their goals. I have special trainings and certifications with Brainspotting a brain based trauma approach; working with children through play therapy, couples therapy & LGBTQ+ relationships and issues. Saddle of Love will be a 501(c)(3) non-profit Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) program. Our mission is to teach trust, self- love, and positive life coping skills to youth through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. We will partner with horses for the exploration of self- awareness, connection and confidence and love to gain new perspectives on life. We offer EMDR, individual, group and family therapy as well as camps, retreats, culinary and horticulture therapy.

I managed LDS Family Services for 13 years and loved directing the 12-step Addiction Recovery Program in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. Ana grew up in Mendoza, Argentina in a city with a landscape and four seasons, just like Utah. This came with a gift, she speaks Spanish, and is trying very hard to learn Portuguese (for now she can understand it very well). Ana earned her bachelor’s degree at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, in Argentina and her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at Argosy University, the Draper, Utah campus. Before becoming a therapist, Ana was a music teacher and she loved working with children and teenagers. Ana’s therapeutic approaches are rooted in Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma Focused-CBT (TF-CBT).

As a growing expert in trauma, mindfulness, and body-mind bridging across the lifespan, I will strive to assist you with your concerns. My approach is light-hearted and evidence informed. I often integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectics, and psychodynamics into my education-based style. We will certainly work on attachment concerns and healthy "relating," too.

My experience has been deeply rooted in the precious commodity of felt safety and what happens to people when that flourishes or fades. One of my passions has been in creating shift in family interaction, where trauma has created old and fresh wounds that show up in todays experiences. I work with attachment needs, grief and loss, betrayal, trauma and bonding. I enjoy eengaging in therapy with individuals, couples and families. I love this work!
