I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Special Education Teacher in the State of Texas. I hold a Master's degree from Tarleton State University and I'm trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention-TBRI. I have spent over a decade working with children, teens and adults. As your therapist, I’m here to help you reach your therapeutic goals, discover your unique qualities and reclaim your individual potential.

I deeply enjoy working with children and adults who know a better life is possible, but lack the tools, self-esteem or support needed to overcome old patterns and create a meaningful existence. The kids I support in the playroom often struggle to communicate, manage their behavior, exhibit confidence, problem solve and positively relate to others. Adults and guardians who find me may have experienced harmful relationships, traumatic events, or notice difficulties feeling comfortable in their own skin. Horses and nature are the background of our therapy porch and I can't wait to invite you in. Horses provide a mirror to our inner world that at times we don't even see. I am trained to treat adults, teens, and children as young as 3 years old. I specialize in sexual, emotional, and psychological trauma, PTSD, family violence survivors, anxiety, depression, life transitions, codependency, and self-esteem. In my work with teens and children, I specialize in addressing behavioral issues, improving parenting skills and parent-child relationships, ADHD, family conflict, self-harm, self-esteem, and coping skills.

I'm passionate about connecting with my clients by meeting them where they are and creating a non-judgmental space for self-expression and healing. I strive to model seeing my clients authentically with the intention they, in turn, come to see and accept themselves more deeply. Inspired through my practice as a certified yoga instructor, I take a holistic lens that considers the many facets of a person and their environment in conceptualizing problems, setting goals, and considering diagnosis. I specialize in creatively working with individuals who are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, or ADHD.

Individual experiences as well as experiences in a family system are unique.There are times in our lives that difficulties arise and unexpected life changes can leave us with feelings of hurt, stress, grief, anxiety, depression, and more. Counseling is a powerful tool that can help us understand, cope, and move forward in ways that are productive, purposeful and meaningful. It is an honor to walk aside each client on their health journey. With client consent, my kindhearted golden doodle therapy dog, Cooper joins in sessions providing support and comfort.

Speaking as a queer woman, my lived experiences have directed me towards becoming an advocate for systemic equality and change. My passions lie in trauma-informed care, gender-affirming care, and helping high conflict relationships of all backgrounds navigate through their journey. I aim to cultivate a non-judgmental environment that allows for connection and validity. Together we can identify and utilize your inner potential and strength to nurture the growth you desire to achieve.

My client population includes children, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals as well as families. I facilitate numerous groups and skills training curriculum in various topics including adolescent first offenders, anger management, divorce and separation, parenting, and teen issues.
