I work with adults and adolescents who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety and depression, or who are adapting to life challenges. You may feel that you're missing the immediacy and vitality of your life because your energy is sinking into habits of overthinking, arguing with yourself, and struggling with your emotions. You think there might be an easier way, but you're not sure how to begin un-learning years of self-blame and criticism. My focus is to provide quality, results oriented counseling services to individuals, families and couples.

I work with adults and teenagers, and I specialize in working with individuals who live and work creatively. Many of my clients are musicians, writers, artists, actors, dancers, either professionally or for enjoyment. I believe that a person's creative voice is often a powerful force in working through pain and suffering. I also have extensive experience working with college students and young adults, helping my clients to feel more sure of their identity and purpose.

I have been successful in the past with all manner of clients through many different settings – male, female, transgender, heterosexual, LGBTQ+, in inpatient, outpatient, technician, assessment, or even consulting settings. I also really enjoy working with teens and adolescents, since early brain-based interventions help everyone succeed even more in their lifetime. I find that my personality and style seem to fit best with clients who feel they are trapped in a negative routine, have no one with which to talk, or no way out of the situation from which they suffer.

Bolivar is a native of South Florida, where he attended Florida State University’s School of Social Work. His studies focused on child welfare and cultural studies. He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Social Work. Immediately following his undergraduate studies, Bolivar knew his life’s work would be helping youth overcome trauma and strengthen families. These passions led Bolivar to a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Child Welfare Studies.

I am licensed in Texas with 5 years of professional counseling experience. I like to get to know my clients and understand the barriers they are experiencing and the outcomes they wish to manifest in their lives. I listen carefully about their experiences and look to help find positive solutions to their different life challenges. I am open to exploring any topics without passing judgement and implementing the most person-centered techniques that will lead to positive outcomes.

In life we experience unpleasant moments during our journey with ups and downs; sometimes it can feel more overwhelming rather than positive. I have 20+ years of experience in mental health, including individual, marriage, group counseling, crisis intervention, and substance abuse assessments.

Meet Tanner Noguess, MS, LPC, a seasoned therapist dedicated to guiding individuals through various life stages. With extensive experience in treating diverse issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and more, Tanner's primary focus is on understanding the unique needs of each individual. They approach therapy with an integrative perspective, drawing on tools from various therapeutic modalities, grounded in Positive Psychology. In Adventure Therapy, we engage together in hiking local parks, gardens and galleries, along with archery, kayaking, sunrise/sunsets or a litany of outdoor options in the Texas Hill Country. It’s not just about the activity itself, but about the feelings and clarity it evokes. It’s about overcoming barriers, building resilience, and gaining new perspectives. I entered the field of counseling because of a desire to help those in crisis or who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. I realized I wanted to be a counselor while working at a local community college. I saw students who were struggling academically but were very bright. I came to understand that there are many factors that go into being successful at life. I have always had a helping nature but didn’t fully understand why people behaved they way they did. Through my education and experience I can now help people in their personal lives, relationships and careers.

My passion is to help people see and be their best versions. I am a Veteran and know my strengths lay with Veterans and First Responders, but my skills can assist anyone that is in need. My focus has been trauma and addiction. I believe the client is the expert and I am a team member that collaborate with client, and medication management team to assist in the best path forward.

I am a 20 year Army Veteran trained in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as Individual counseling techniques. I understand the unique stresses of military life. I have worked with military families both while in the Army and since. I use the Gottman Method for couples counseling. Gottman is considered the gold standard in Couples Counseling, it is one of the best researched therapies with one of the highest success rates.

I enjoy working with people from ages 16- 35. These are exciting and challenging times. Many people graduate from high school, go to college, start careers and start families. These are times when people begin to get to know themselves and become their true selves. These transitions can come with unique challenges. Sometimes one's values do not align with their families values, or their talents are not celebrated in their community. It can be very difficult to balance the demands of school, extra-curricular activities and a social life. Also, life doesn't stand still so difficult events like death, divorce and break-ups happen.
