Hello! My name is Liz, and I'm not your average therapist. I am multi state licensed as a Mental Health Counselor with a Masters degree from Stetson University. I work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief and trauma. When I'm not being a therapist, you can usually find me somewhere outdoors, in a tattoo parlor, binge watching a true crime series or getting coffee. I believe that it's important to take care of yourself both inside and outside of therapy, and I'm here to help you do that.

As a mental health professional, my responsibility is to provide mental health care and counseling services to those in need. A healthier well-being and brighter outlook are the goals for those I service. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults.

Symptoms can have meaning and can be carriers of unconscious responses to our environments, relationships, history, emotional content, and one-sidedness. Some areas that I have experience with when working with clients include: anxiety, depression, grief, meaninglessness, relationships, divorce, women’s issues, adverse religious experiences, and deconstructing from religious systems and systems of power. My passion is to assist clients in connecting with their inner guidance, their creative source, and taking steps to cultivate this connection.

It is a privilege to work with clients wherever they are in their personal journey. Every individual and every relationship has a story, but not everyone knows how to give voice to it. Healing comes through having a safe place to tell the story, and a safe person to hear it. Each time I sit with a client, I am humbled by their courage. I'm deeply committed to empowering children, adolescents, and teens, along with their caregivers, on their journey towards healing and growth. I'm passionate about guiding parents & children through emotional exploration. Expert in supporting ages 2-16 dealing with grief, bullying, family dynamics, etc. Equipping them with resilience and tools. I prioritize understanding both parent and child for a path to healing.

Typical clientele: Anxious, avoidant, indecisive, looking for insights or solutions focused. Primary goals typically involve awareness and action orientation. The client is typically looking for something to change in their lives. They may not know what yet, but are seeking diligently and genuinely.

My passion in this work is to help those who struggle to find their voice and authentic self due to obstacles like trauma, anxiety, grief, OCD, low self-esteem, etc. These obstacles I named often become blinders and part of the identity as one encounters life transitions and forming relationships with others. My job is to sit with, listen to, and help guide him/her back to their true self where they can feel safe and at home.

Meredith is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in both acute inpatient and traditional outpatient settings. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University. Meredith practices evidence-based techniques and approaches to therapy. Some of her clinical interests include: depressive disorders, managing stress and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, relational issues, trauma and abuse, grief, self-esteem, health/wellness, life transitions, and creating and maintaining healthy boundaries.

Each of us has our own unique path and challenges to navigate in this life. Many of us struggle to find the freedom to live out our truth and to follow our hearts because we are bound by societal and/or familial conditioning and programming that pressures us to fit into a certain mold that may not align with who we are and what we find to be true. This binding can often show up as anxiety or unhappiness, and many of us have trauma that continues to live in our bodies influencing the ways in which we react to what we encounter in life. We can work together to understand and alleviate what is keeping you from being more free.

It's my belief that within relationships we are both hurt and healed. I practice from a relational approach, specifically Attachment Theory. Attachment shapes how we view ourselves and others, and influences how we "do" close relationships. We may unconsciously carry feelings of anxiety, pain, humiliation, or even abandonment from our relationships. For example, early childhood experiences of sexual abuse, neglect, grief, loss, or vicarious trauma impact one's perception of safety and security. As a result, we may find it difficult to form satisfactory relationships in adulthood. Navigating through this process alone can be hard.Thankfully, you don't have to do it alone.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating children and adolescents. I have been working with children for over 20 years and truly enjoy seeing children move from timid and anxious to confident and self assured. I can help kids deal with divorce, death, abuse, anxiety and many other issues that affect children and adolescents. I will help them to be better at dealing with life as it comes to them and to be more assured when things get hard. I am a Consultant with EMDR which is trauma therapy. I also see adults for EMDR as well with children and adolescents.
