I am a psychotherapist specializing in adult and couple therapy. Clinical consultation and life coaching are other areas of expertise. I maintain a private practice in Northampton MA which is easily accessible from Interstate 91. With over 30 years of experience I consider the interrelationship between the mind and body paramount. Specific areas of expertise include anxiety, trauma, stress management, parenting, relationship issues, LGBTQI+, trans, educational issues, health behavior, military personnel, and clinical consultation. Evidence-based modalities employed include: EMDR, EFT, and Motivational Interviewing.

I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) bicultural, LICSW, clinical social worker. I obtained my MSW and PhD degrees from Smith College, School for Social Work. I have worked in the mental health field for over 25 years providing individual and family therapy to adults, children, adolescents and couples. I specialize in parent-child and sibling conflict, depression, grief/loss, domestic violence, anxiety, trauma, acculturation, relocation/immigration and life transitions. I am also an Associate Professor at Westfield State University, and adjunct faculty at Columbia University, Smith College and Boston University.

Now Accepting New Clients As the owner of Center for Perinatal Wellness, I believe when a mother struggles, the whole family does also. I specialize in perinatal mood complications, such as Postpartum Depression and Anxiety. A new child changes so much about how a family functions and sometimes families need some help navigating those waters and I am happy to help you do just that. We use CBT, DBT, EMDR in the therapeutic approach, but never encourage a path that a client isn't comfortable with.
