Welcome! I'm Rochelle. I'm passionate about working with adults who struggling with their anxiety, self image, substance use, or relationship(s). My ideal clients are adults, partners, and families who have a desire to feel better and are 'tired' of repeating the same patterns. They are not looking for a quick fix, but rather value the investment of quality trauma-informed treatment. I use evidence based treatments to work myself out of a job. You may ask, really? Yes! I want to help empower you to create lasting change within your life!

Life is unfair and unkind at times. Situations can feel overwhelming and unbearable. Through counseling we can help learn the tools needed to better deal with what life can throw at us and develop the virtue of Fortitude. Children, Adolescents, Adults and Families deserve to feel better and enjoy all that life has to offer. I would be honored to join you in this journey. Fortitude: strength of mind that enables a person to encounter danger or bear pain or adversity with courage.

We, as human beings, are all on a path through life dealing with our own unique conflicts (be it interior or exterior) and struggles from our lives before this point. Everyday is a new chance to devote effort in ourselves with a goal to make ourselves better than the day before. We are all striving to be the absolute best version of ourselves we can be, even if your version looks different than the next person's. Even if you are unsure of your own matters of contention and unable to see the prospects of your future, I am dedicated to starting or continuing on this journey with you.

Hi, my name is Ashley, I am so glad you made it here. This may have been a challenge for you, maybe it’s something you’ve been putting off for a while now, or perhaps this is your first time navigating your mental health journey. Regardless, it’s confusing, am I right? No worries, you and I will go through this together while helping you figure out what “feeling better” looks like for you. I believe we can still bloom in the shadows. I believe we are capable of doing extraordinary things when we are able to put all of the pieces together, as well as focus on the things we’ve ignored for far too long.

My role in psychotherapy is simple. I work as a guide to help lead clients from 3rd dimensional consciousness to new levels of awareness. With the support of my guiding system and those of my clients', I act as a conduit to bring the information and energies that are needed in that point in time for the client's highest good. My approach is spiritual and energy psychology. It is based on the premise that all illness is mental illness and all healing must begin in psychotherapy.

You never imagined spirituality or faith could produce heartache and turmoil in your life. Something that once invoked peace and strength for you, perhaps now prompts questions and uncertainty. It is ok to reevaluate what you believe, and determine how your current values fit into your present life situation! Sometimes new experiences, personal growth and increased awareness can shed light on how your old thoughts, feelings and emotions are no longer serving you well. Maybe you are struggling with how to handle others’ responses to the changes you have made in your life.

We help the child who has been struggling with divorce, behavioral issues, & regulating emotions by providing a safe spot to feel seen, heard, & accepted to create healthy change. Our sessions will prioritize trust in the therapeutic relationship to process life’s challenges, by the power of play! Oftentimes children will feel like they’re just having fun. That’s the experience we prioritize they have! But actually through their play, we are processing their life situations & learning coping skills. As counselors, we encourage our clients to openly share their challenges, and together, we carry the load until it's time to let go.

Kristi is passionate about normalizing mental health care and increasing access to high quality treatment for all individuals. She has experience with CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and ExRP/ERP for the treatment of OCD. In her personal time, Kristi enjoys learning new skills and hobbies and considers herself a “serial hobbyist,” as she enjoys many different activities. I enjoy working with people from ages 16- 35. These are exciting and challenging times. Many people graduate from high school, go to college, start careers and start families. These are times when people begin to get to know themselves and become their true selves. These transitions can come with unique challenges. Sometimes one's values do not align with their families values, or their talents are not celebrated in their community. It can be very difficult to balance the demands of school, extra-curricular activities and a social life. Also, life doesn't stand still so difficult events like death, divorce and break-ups happen.

Suicidal Ideation Therapists

How does therapy for suicidal ideation work?

Stress, depression, anxiety, or upsetting circumstances can give rise to suicidal thinking. Therapy can address the events at the core of an individual’s suffering. Understanding why a person may be suicidal can help the therapist and the patient discover alternative methods of coping. A person with suicidal ideation may be mired in catastrophic thinking, and treatment like cognitive behavioral therapy is a good choice for breaking such patterns. In addition, treatment such as acceptance and commitment therapy can help a person manage their distress through better emotion regulation.

Which therapies are best for suicidal ideation?

Specific approaches used by professionals include cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapies, among others. Cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior therapies are two widely used therapies that can help individuals with painful thoughts and past traumas. These therapies help an individual tolerate distress, regulate emotions, and not act on dangerous urges.

Are there specific medications to be combined with therapy?

The use of medication for suicidal thoughts must be aligned with the underlying cause; conditions such as depression, anxiety, and psychosis may be at the root of suicidal ideation. A psychiatrist may prescribe medications for symptoms, which may include antipsychotics such as aripiprazole or antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

How often and how long are therapy sessions for suicidal ideation?

As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual. Patients may see improvement within 15 to 20 sessions, at an average of 50 minutes per session, while others may opt for 20 to 30 sessions over, perhaps, a six-month period. Still other patients, especially those with co-occurring conditions like major depression and anxiety, may need to continue sessions for up to 12 to 18 months. In some cases, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm.
