I am a bilingual bicultural Marriage & Family Therapist in the field of mental health for over 13 years. In my practice, I strive to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for individuals to explore and grow in desired areas. I work from a strength-based approach and I am passionate about empowering individuals and families to reach their full potential.
In my work, I have acquired training and experience in working with depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, grief, self-esteem issues, cross cultural issues, behavioral issues, academic issues, trauma/PTSD. My own personal experience of having emigrated from Latin America at a young age contributes to my interest in working with people from diverse backgrounds.
I am also trained in providing child-parent psychotherapy and have worked for many years with young children (0-5) and their families. I offer developmental guidance and help parents understand the meaning of their child's negative seeking behaviors. As a result parents and children are able to relate in more satisfying ways.
