As a Christian counselor, I believe a person's problems and concerns can encompass their physical, mental, and spiritual health. My goal is to provide therapy that addresses a client's deeper issues and wounds not just their symptoms. I work with depression, anxiety, PTSD & trauma recovery, marriage/pre-marital therapy and parent education. Our approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, mindfulness, play therapy, rational-emotive therapy and EMDR, eye movement desensitation and reprocessing. EMDR can relieve these depressive symptoms and help reframe negative beliefs, resolve unprocessed trauma and adverse experiences, improve energy and mood, and create a more positive understanding of the self and others.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Clemson University and Master’s and Specialist’s degrees in School Psychology from the University of Georgia. I have experience working within the public school setting as a School Psychologist and as a Child and Adolescent Psychologist II for the SC Department of Mental Health. I am a former President of the International Dyslexia Association - SC and member of the SC Dyslexia Law Task Force. I am the former Co-Owner of Breakwater Associates, a multidisciplinary private practice that offered psychoeducational evaluations, dyslexia therapy, counseling, and executive function coaching.
