As a clinical neuropsychologist, I specialize in evaluating complex cognitive and behavioral problems that often pose a dilemma for individuals, parents, teachers, and treating professionals. I believe that a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation should provide an in-depth understanding of the entire person, including their cognitive style, emotional style, and strengths as well as weaknesses. The immediate goal is to arrive at an accurate diagnosis that will guide treatment, but the ultimate purpose is to promote deeper self-understanding and to enable each person to achieve his or her true potential.

I like to solve problems. I use a strength-based, Imago couples trained, family systems approach. I focus on reducing relationship conflict, improving communication, and developing closeness for individuals, couples, and families. I am skilled in making positive changes happen. I lanched WellnessRI because I believe integral to a caring approach is coordinating with other medication and counseling providers in the practice.

I enjoy working with all age groups. In the past I worked in an elementary school for 7 years doing individual and family therapy. I have also worked in home based programs with at risk children and youth. I work very well with individuals experiencing depression,grief and loss, as well as those adjusting to a new environment. Also I work well with parents and parenting children and youth. Most of my clients say that they like that I am patient, friendly, and never give up. Many of my clients say they have received a lot of help.
