As a new therapist, I am eager to embark on the fulfilling journey of helping others from all walks of life. My top priority as a therapist is the well-being of my clients, and I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space for everyone who walks through my door. I want my clients to feel supported and understood, no matter their personal background, race, ethnicity or cultural history.

I know that reaching out for professional help can be difficult for many. That is why I have developed a practice that is kind and compassionate. My long experience has taught me that therapy must be dynamic, interactive, non-judgmental, along with a healthy sense of humor.

It can be really tough to reach out and make that first step in seeking a better quality of life. Everyone needs someone in their corner, whether it be to listen or provide an unbiased perspective to work towards positive life changes. Welcome! During my career I have primarily worked with adolescents and adults who come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of challenges. I specialize in helping those struggle with issues related to OCD, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, life adjustments, specific LGBTQIA+ issues, and relationship challenges. I believe we are meaning-making creatures who want to live out our values to the best of our abilities, and this can feel impossible without adequate support and tools. My intention is to guide you in living a more meaningful life by building trust, showing compassion, and empowering you on your path towards wellness.

I would love to help you learn and apply proper coping skills and use this time as a tool to develop a better self-connection and achieve satisfaction with life. My ideal client can be of any age. They are falling behind academically or in their career although they are intelligent, they have a big group of friends who adore them, yet they feel alone or depressed. These individuals are looking for lasting happiness in their private lives.

At times we need an outside perspective, and maybe just someone to listen to us, when life seems hard or complicated. My counseling style is warm, friendly, and, above all, genuine. I use a holistic/integrative therapy approach; in order to tailor treatment to each client's needs, I tend to pull from various tenets and modalities of evidence-based therapies. I focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and understand the mind-body connection; I am also trained in EMDR for trauma treatment.

My name is Linda Beldin-Korter, and my clients also called Linda B-K for short. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Washington, Oregon, and New Mexico; and a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in Arkansas. I am currently working with adult clients statewide via telehealth, and during the recent pandemic, I worked in several states providing Co-Occurring Mental Health and Substance Use Counseling. I have a history of 35 years as a counselor with a diverse clientele and counseling modalities. I specialize in healing and recovery from loss, trauma, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, and substance use.

I have experience with adults, adolescents, and children. I work individuals from diverse backgrounds. I am committed to bringing a client's lifestyle, perspectives, and interests to the forefront of therapeutic work. I ask clients to mindfully incorporate therapeutic work into their day-to-day lives.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, skilled in the support of diverse people groups. I am passionate about people, and count it a privilege to support individuals, couples and families along their personal journeys toward emotional and relational wholeness. I understand how difficult life can be; as a survivor of domestic violence I have personally navigated the deep waters of low-self esteem, self-doubt and self-sabotage to emerge on the other side of the darkness victorious! It is my life-long calling to destroy the walls of limitation holding people hostage-if you are ready to take the journey-my bags are packed!

Unfortunately, there are times that we have trouble doing so,this is when we feel overwhelmed, depressed and stressed. As your counselor, I will help you transition through these difficult times by developing new skills that will empower you and help you overcome your current situation.In addition to working through the current situation, I will help you develop new personal insights that will enable you to manage future challenges as well.

My ideal client may be a child or adolescent dealing with feelings of worry, sadness, or frustration that may be connected to their thoughts or behaviors. They could be struggling with challenges like self- esteem, peer/familial interactions, or handling big emotions. Our goals revolve around helping my clients develop a positive and resilient mindset. We work together to set achievable goals that promote their well-being, foster connections with others, and celebrate the diversity of their thoughts and feelings.
