I specialize in working with clients who struggle with anxiety, postpartum disorders, and trauma. I am most aligned with Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and CBT, as well as other evidence-based therapies that support clients' progression from adversity to growth. A safe, collaborative therapy relationship is the foundation that allows clients to bravely try new ways of thinking and behaving. I work primarily with pregnant and postpartum women who have complex trauma histories.
My approach is tailored to each client's needs and is fairly structured. I work with clients to imagine a better way of being with others and being in their bodies. I focus on top-down and bottom-up strategies for understanding and regulating the nervous system. I hope to guide clients toward post-traumatic growth and re-connection to others.
Becoming a mother can be an overwhelming, and life-altering transition. It is also a unique opportunity for personal growth and expansion of the self. With advanced training in IPT, Maternal Mental Health (PMH-C), trauma, and lactation education, I help mothers find the opportunities for growth and self-development.
