My aim is to collaborate with clients to contact the present moment, open up, and do what matters. Through a person-centered, intersectional feminist lens, I support clients in clarifying their values and processing their stories. Whether your goal is to navigate a life transition, examine the impact of depression and anxiety, or alleviating the influence of post-traumatic stress, I strive to create a compassionate space to work together. Outside of counseling I am an art enthusiast, certified yoga teacher, and lover of the great outdoors.

Elliot has a passion for providing safe and identity-affirming mental health care for members of the neurodivergent, queer, trans, kink, and polyamorous/ethically non-monogamous communities. Elliot takes a person-centered, empowerment-based approach that treats each individual as the best expert on themselves and acknowledges the impacts of marginalization and complex trauma. Elliot has an interest in areas including anxiety, depression, intimacy-related concerns, gender & sexuality, spirituality, trauma recovery, addiction, body image, eating disorder recovery, and supporting the neurodivergent lived experience.

I have been practicing therapeutic services in multiple settings over the past 6.5 years and have experience working with eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use. I believe in providing a safe space for my clients using a person-centered approach which focuses on the importance of each client's goals, preferences, and values. My main focus in session is ensuring that each client is heard, respected, and able to be their most authentic self. I am a sex-positive therapist, and affirming to those in the LGBTQ +, communities.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with adolescents and adults with a variety of presenting concerns. My goal as a therapist is to provide an individualized approach to each client and meet them where they are. Clients who work with me can expect to be met with empathy and openness. I work to make sure each client is heard, understood, and feels safe throughout their counseling experience. Together, we will work to create goals and form a collaborative relationship to ensure growth and progress. I see clients primarily via telehealth.

I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process in which the individual's experience is always unique. I believe that an individual should always feel safe and comfortable while pursuing therapy. I provide a safe space to best experience therapy in a way that allows for personal understanding, exploration and growth. This space is confidential and judgement-free. My goal is to ensure my clients feel supported, heard and advocated for during the time that they receive therapy.

The general goals for the client are to identify issues, develop a plan of action, and implement that plan. This is a very personal process. It is educational and developmental by nature. Cures are not immediate, pain-free, or instant by nature, but may require diligent effort and candid exploration. This process often involves experiencing ‘unpleasant’ feelings as part of the counseling process within and outside of scheduled sessions. Something is not feeling right or going the way you would like it to in your life. Maybe its depression or anxiety, a relationship that has gone sour, maybe you feel stuck or confused, lost or just plain not content with how things are going. You would like a change, a goal to be reached, or to better understand yourself or someone else. I believe I can help with these types of challenges. Being a therapist is not just a job to me. The relationship of client and therapist gives me a feeling of profound awe and respect, and often love. I love my job and I love that maybe, just maybe, I can help you embody the change you are seeking.

Clients who work with me are searching for ways to grow personally, professionally, interpersonally, intrapersonally, and oftentimes all of the above. Clients that choose to work with me are encouraged to be their authentic selves without fear of judgement or rejection in a safe and brave environment. Clients find new meanings and ways of living that strengthen them to ward off depression, anxiety, trauma responses, and other barriers preventing them from living their lives fully. Clients also work with me to reprocess their traumatic memories and develop healthier futures using EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).

Humans experience emotion. We experience conflict. We experience pain and trauma. Though normal and common, all of these can disrupt or make it extremely difficult for an individual to meet their goals, have healthy relationships with ourself and others, or even make it through the day. These challenges can be isolating and can make anyone start to feel hopeless and hesitant to reach out for help. I encourage you to reach out anyway. Healing takes time, work, and honesty and it is worth it.

Abigail Lindenmeier (she/her) strives to make the counseling environment a sex-positive, kink-positive, and judgment-free space. Her areas of interest include adolescence and emerging adulthood, life transitions, sexual identity and exploration, and providing gender-affirming care. Abigail has a passion for working with and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community. She draws from several therapeutic approaches such as attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness work while using a client-centered and trauma-informed lens. She is an intern pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

As a sex positive counselor, I believe that sexuality should be a normal part of conversation. I work with individuals and couples (both in non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships) and work with members of the LGBTQIA plus population. Specifically, I work with those navigating sexual pain, purity culture recovery, infidelity, and marriage and premarital counseling. Additionally, I am a kink-affirming counselor. I am a member of AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. Additionally, I work with and welcome clients of all faith backgrounds or no faith at all.

Every interaction in our lives is part of constructing our story. They may be built through family, relationships, work, marginalization, media, or society. Sometimes, these stories burden us - they tell us we are worthless, hopeless, or stuck. Perhaps they cause us depression, anxiety, other mental health issues, or sexual dysfunction. My therapeutic process is focused on learning your story holistically so we can integrate your unique strengths and challenges into treatment. I have particular training in sex therapy and LGBTQ+ clients.
