I believe that maintaining and focusing on our mental health should be as normal as attending to our physical health, and just as important. Therapy is a way to work through the challenges of life, understand ourselves more fully, and work towards a place of wellness unique to each person. Therefore, I use multiple evidence-based modalities, coupled with a therapeutic style that is impartial, non-judgmental, and encouraging, specific to each person’s needs. I enjoy working with children, teens and adults of all stages of life. I am passionate about working with women's issues & also enjoy working through spiritual/faith issues.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, it is my passion to walk along side my clients in difficult situations and help my clients to find hope. Dr. Weicker was originally trained as a medical doctor " La Sapienza" University of Rome Italy in 1988. After moving to the United States in 1989, she embarked upon a new career in brain and colon cancer research at RI Hospital- Brown University for 4 years and a Thomas Jefferson for 2 years. Dr. Weicker also has been a College Professor in Anatomy and Physiology Pathophysiology, Nutrition and Herbs and Medicine college courses for 20 years, Penn State, Alvernia University, and Lehigh Carbon Community College. She has since earned a Master's Degree in Health Care from Alvernia University in 2004

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.

I am currently accepting clients both through telehealth and in person! My passion has been to help my clients manage their mental health and ability to grow from within. The clients I support are people who struggle with mental health issues, addictions, family, couples' concerns. I've helped clients successfully navigate through abuse and trauma, life transitions and grief and loss. I specialize in human sexuality: sex education, sexual dysfunction, sexual health, sexual pleasure, navigating sex after health crisis, women's issues, postpartum, miscarriage, LGBTQ populations, sexual trauma and sex addiction.

All psychological issues are ultimately existential in origin, entailing a confrontation with death, loss, meaning, purpose and value. All that we do (knowingly or unknowingly) is dedicated to deciphering these daunting and irrepressible demands of existence. Few are successful in resolving or even clearly conceptualizing these existential issues and their minds inevitably descend into despair, depression and anxiety. Some seek to assuage their suffering with psychoactive substances (illicit and licit) and this leads only to addiction and abdication of autonomy over one's authentic self. My System offers a solution.

My ideal client is willing to work through the discomfort of implementing life changes while building on their strengths. I know that change can be scary, and I hope the person will allow me to come alongside them to create meaningful and lasting change.
