I have worked with varied populations throughout Louisiana and Oregon; most often with male & female adults, couples, adolescents, and children ages 7-11. I have addressed multiple varied needs including sexual dysfunction, gang activity, drug use, domestic violence, PTSD, personality, mood disorders as well as relationship issues. **Education: I have a bachelor's degree (4 years) in Psychology (Oregon State University, Corvallis). I also have (one year) education (Holy Cross College, New Orleans, Louisiana) in Marriage and Family Therapy. I acquired a master's degree in Social Work (3 year master's program) from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.

My work focuses on increasing satisfaction and meaning in people's lives. My goal is providing competent, insight-focused therapy with an emphasis on self-compassion and improving the relationship with the self. My approach is helpful for people trying to navigate burnout, perfectionism, low self-esteem, and self-criticism. Growing up as a biracial Latino, I struggled with navigating questions about racial identity, internalized racism, fitting in with different groups, and managing different sets of cultural expectations. I’m passionate about working with clients who experience similar challenges with any of their identities.

As a psycho-spiritual counselor with a holistic perspective, I work with mind, body, spirit connections, and as such I see my clients as full of potential and creativity. I am deeply interested in the emerging field of psilocybin assisted therapy and I am happy to work with clients as they integrate their own personal journeys. I have a passion for social and environmental justice, and as an ever-aspiring multicultural counselor, I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles.

I view my role in helping those experiences mental health challenges as an ally, advocate and to promote challenge and growth for consumers. I believe the treatment process should be collaborative in nature and foster a relationship with transparency and accountability. I strive to address the needs of an individual comprehensively, which can require discussion on cultural factors, family systems, etc. During my coursework I was formally trained in delivery of individual and group counseling for mental health and substance use services, human development across a lifespan, addiction, risk assessment, crisis/suicide prevention.

Many of my clients would agree that what they look for in a counselor is someone who "has been there themselves." They look for someone that has the education and experience to successfully assist them. I have that combination of personal experiences and educational background. My goal is to help you feel better, cope with life, and get on the path to a more happy and productive life. I will teach you to identify, solve, and cope with problems. I am Psychedelic's friendly.

By using Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy along with a mixture of therapeutic styles, we will work together to uncover the thoughts and beliefs that drive your emotions and behaviors so that you can move forward in your life with confidence. My associates and I work with adults of all ages and with any level of mental health goals or concerns.

My practice focuses on people who want to enjoy greater peace and more satisfying relationships. I’m pleased to serve children, adolescents, and adults. The emphasis of my work includes treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, interpersonal difficulties, psycho-spiritual issues, ADHD, and child/adolescent behavior problems.

I am accepting new clients though currently only in teletherapy. My general approach is called rational eclecticism; using the most effective therapeutic approach to address each individual's unique issues. I’m increasingly focusing on trauma and toxic stress and the ways it often shows up as depression, anxiety, sadness and at times a loss of identity. Some clients beginning counseling remember feeling joy, excitement, or self-confidence that they rarely if ever feel when they first begin therapy. The people I’ve been working with have been finding this approach to somatic therapy very helpful and frequently, transformative.

We are a practice group of licensed psychologists that provide mental health services in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. We provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy, for ages 4 years old and up.
