Counseling provides the opportunity for healthy change, personal growth and healing. I work from an integrated Adlerian and cognitive-behavioral perspective. I focus on helping my clients change thoughts and actions, so they may better understand their problems and find healing from life's hurts, restore health to relationships, and develop helpful solutions to life's challenges.
I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including the Family Resource Center at Women's and Children's Hospital (Charleston, WV), community counseling centers, churches, and in private practice. One consistent thread of my work is the joy of seeing lives changed.
My training includes both systemic and individual counseling models. I am a licensed professional counselor and I have earned a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Counseling. Limited insurance billing is available. I may provide documentation for out-of-network claims. Upon request, I offer a sliding scale fee schedule.
