During my time as a therapist, I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of clientele, including individual clients, family systems, couples and the LGBTQ+ community. At one time, I was the director and facilitator of a local, court approved, Adult Anger Management Program. I have counseled a variety of therapeutic issues including relationship difficulties, grief, anxiety, depression, postpartum depression and PTSD.

Life can be difficult to navigate and every journey has unique twists and turns that create difficulties managing emotions or relationships. I want to work with clients to help them discover management strategies for the struggles that hold them back from leading a full and happy life. Individuals, couples and families all can benefit from my counseling practice by uncovering core conflicts and unhealthy thought patterns. Then processing techniques that can minimize or even eliminate the unwanted thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. I believe each person experiences life and trauma in different ways. What is good for one may not be good for another. In my experience, I have come across so many people who are hurting and I enjoy being able to be on this journey with them which starts with first establishing a relationship. I know how trauma can change someone along with grief and it comes in waves at times. I use CBT and choice therapy along with TF-CBT. She seeks to provide the children and families of the greater Tahlequah area with the same Gold Standard of care available in the larger metropolitan areas.

Many of my clients have issues in their relationships or with anxiety and depression. They want relief. We work together to help them learn better ways to communicate with others and to develop coping skills to handle their thoughts and feelings in a healthier way.

Life sometimes creates some unexpected turns that we have difficulty managing. I'm here to help people manage and cope with those turns, to provide support and help so that a client and their family can get back to a place of peace.
