I believe each child and their family’s circumstances are unique. My client centered therapeutic approach is guided by my doctoral and post-doctoral background in biomedical sciences and neuroinflammation. I support mental and emotional healing in children, adolescents, young adults and adults using interventions based on developments in the field of psychology and neurobiology. I am trained in EMDR, Sandtray-EMDR, TF-CBT and CAMS.

I am a Licensed Therapist and a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor with over 30 years of professional experience in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction. I am very passionate about working with adults, and teens struggling with the conflict that occurs from anxiety, depression, family relationship struggles or alcohol and drug abuse and addiction. I also work with war veterans struggling with depression, anxiety and/or PTSD. I have many years of professional experience working in the intensive outpatient unit at Laureate and in the outpatient setting both at Laureate and Carole's Hope.

That passion has led me to the study of trauma and addiction because of the role each play in disconnecting us from ourselves and those around us. Trauma can include everything from life-threatening events to the sometimes more subtle experiences of woundedness that can occur through ordinary family and social interactions across a lifetime.
