My name is Angie and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. I have been working as a counselor for over 8 years, and prior to that as a Masters level Social Worker for the State of Oklahoma with at risk families. I have experience in counseling with a variety of age groups and a diverse clientele, struggling with a large range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, sexuality, relational problems and many other issues.
Some of the therapeutic approaches I use include EMDR, CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy and motivational interviewing. I tailor my therapeutic approach according to my client's needs and desires, to help them find their path to a stronger and healthier mental balance.
I feel therapy is a team effort, with my client in the lead role, deciding on what path and destination is right for their individual needs. I simply provide a map and tools to help them on their journey.
