I have been in the profession for over 12 years, and in that time I have worked with a large variety of clients. I started working in a mental health residential treatment facility for adolescents, then worked in community health care, substance abuse residential treatment and private practice. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, addictions and LGBTQ+ hurdles. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse heal and become healthier, as well as embrace the happiness in their lives.

I am a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) provider and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), clinically trained in EMDR therapy, Polyvagal Theory, parts work and attachment-based therapies, and other treatment methods grounded in the latest behavioral health and neuroscience research. While I enjoy working with clients with a multitude of presenting issues, I primarily specialize in treating trauma and PTSD. Using an integrated approach to therapy, I collaborate with clients on working through past and present difficulties to develop insight into complex issues and achieve the highest level of functioning.

Susan Zacharias received her master's degree in clinical pastoral counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She also holds a bachelor's degree from Kent State University. She has more than 15 years of counseling experience including work in community and private practice settings. She currently provides individual, couples and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults ages 6 to 65+. Her treatment areas of specialty include trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders and substance use disorders. She is also trained in the use of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
