I work from a client centered, eclectic and humanistic model to address your individual needs. We will collaborate and develop a treatment approach that will best address your needs.

You, like so many of us who have survived sexual abuse, often find yourself struggling to create and keep healthy relationships. More often than not, you have a hard time standing up for yourself. You have worked so hard to make yourself feel safe, confident, steady, and worthy. You seek peace at each sunset and hope at each sunrise. Still, there are times when the nightmares haunt you in your sleep, and the flashbacks freeze you when awake. You seek escape from the trauma of your past, but rarely find long-lasting relief. You want to emerge from the turmoil of your past and find your Paths to Healing.

I have over a decade's worth of experience assisting diverse populations of children, adolescents, teens in crisis, adults, couples, families and individuals with advanced illnesses in managing and overcoming a wide array of issues including: emotional, physical and sexual abuse; trauma; adjustment difficulties; emotional, behavioral and relational disturbances; substance abuse; and gender/sexuality issues. Through my experience and training I have gained a strong understanding of diverse identities, including gender and sexual identities, as well as sexual and relational issues. Therefore, I am able to provide gender therapy for transgender and gender-expansive individuals from a non-pathological perspective.

In my experience as a therapist, I find that many people are looking for someone who will provide a safe space to talk, listen, and support them. My goal is to provide children, preteens/tweens, adolescents/teenagers, adults, and elders, as well as, families and couples with the skills and tools to help them reach their own personal goals. With these skills, you will become a better communicator, develop confidence, and utilize positive responses to daily life problems.

I provide adult ADHD assessment, individual therapy, and couples therapy. Yet many of us get stuck on a hamster wheel and end up giving and giving until we simply have nothing left. This in conjunction with trauma can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. My goal is to disrupt that cycle by providing a safe space for my clients to work through their most vulnerable emotions and emerge ready to tackle life’s challenges.
