I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and co-founder of One Step at a Time Therapy Center. I have 8 plus years of experience working with individuals and couples. I provide a neutral, nonjudgmental and compassionate environment that helps you throughout your journey of becoming a better version of yourself. I work with couples who are dating, engaged or married. I have experience working with interracial, lesbian, gay and straight couples. I help with issues such as communication, trust, infidelity, sex, parenting and family. I use evidence-based tools (Imago dialogue & Gottman Method) to help you achieve positive long-term effects in your relationship.
Although I am only in-network with Cigna and Horizon BCBS plans (traditional and managed care plans), I work with ALL insurance companies as long as you have out of network benefits. Interracial Relationship Challenges
This group is for individual women who are in interracial relationships (dating/living together or married). The goal is to provide support to individuals who are dealing with challenges related to dating/being married to someone who is outside of their race, to have a safe space to process and normalize their experiences, and provide support to one another. Each session will explore the different areas that have proved to be difficult for interracial couples including family, friends and general public approval, acceptance and support, differences in cultures/values, raising bi-racial children etc.
