Happiness is a Journey not a destination! We try to pick the best path for our lives, but sometimes those paths takes us down roads with trauma, depression, anxiety and grief. A lot of what was experienced was out of our control, and also probably made us feel out of control. Through therapy we can work through these traumas and difficult life events. We can work on developing tools to manage anxiety and depression to keep them at bay. We can work on improving ourselves to be the best version we can be, and continue walking through life knowing we made those positive changes and can overcome even the hardest of challenges.

There is a reason why the safety protocols on airplanes instruct us to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first in case of an emergency. We can not care for others if we don’t focus on our own needs, even with the very limited time most of us have daily. Yet many of us get stuck on a hamster wheel and end up giving and giving until we simply have nothing left. This in conjunction with trauma can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. My goal is to disrupt that cycle by providing a safe space for my clients to work through their most vulnerable emotions and emerge ready to tackle life’s challenges.
