The therapeutic focus is to help individuals heal, energize, focus, become aware of their inner strengths and remove mental blockers. Marriage and family therapists treat a wide range of serious clinical problems, including anxiety, depression, marital problems, individual psychological problems, and child-parent conflict. The unit of treatment is based on the set of relationships in which the person is embedded.

Coming from a marriage and family therapy training background, I tend to view client issues from a systemic and trauma informed lens. I am passionate about helping you learn how to manage your current stressors, process past trauma and give you the tools you will need to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. I want to help you grow and maybe even elevate your self esteem along the way! I guarantee that you will leave my office feeling at least 1 % better if not more! I like to challenge my clients with self reflective questions, while also being sensitive to their trauma, by going at their pace.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I am trained to think systemically and work with individuals, couples and families. My expertise, however, is working with couples and parents. Over the years, I have helped many couples overcome their relationship issues, including: communication issues, infidelity, sexual issues, etc. I have also worked with many families, helping parents overcome issues with their children, both young children and adults. I have also extensively explored issues related to working with couples where one partner is experiencing chronic pain.

My psychoanalytic training and my 20 years work experience has taught me the importance of understanding the full individual and his/her own unique experience in the world.
