I believe in the healing power of relationships. Humans are relational creatures with a biological need to feel accepted. Disconnection in relationships can leave anyone feeling hopeless. I have enjoyed working with neurodivergent individuals in various avenues throughout my life, including volunteer and employment opportunities during my time at both UNC-Chapel Hill and FAMU. I am a licensed occupational therapist who takes special interest in the community aspects of OT, and continues to learn from neurodivergent and differently-abled populations. Through my work with cancer patients, I developed a therapeutic framework based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients with various issues move from distress toward peace. In addition, I understand that one size does not fit all, so I use an integrative approach that draws from several disciplines.
