I am a clinically trained therapist offering clients a diverse and progressive therapeutic experience. I have extensive experience with substance use disorders and mental health issues. My training has included working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I utilize the assessments to create and develop plans focusing on supportive and individualized therapy. I also provide assessments to help individuals navigate and walk into treatment facilities with no hassles. My goal is to make the process of treatment easier for everyone involved.

My ideal client wants something better, has no idea what "better" is or looks like, and has no idea where to start. They are still determining if they are ready to start or commit to that change. What they need is a person and a space to figure it out. Deep down, they know where they are right now can be better, whether in relationships, emotions, daily habits, major life goals, or anything in-between. But, most importantly, they want a space where they can process and grow from that place and build a sustainable life.

Mental health, addiction, and chronic illness all have something in common. They can be debilitating and create cyclical habits that are difficult to break. I work with motivated individuals who are willing to make a change in their lives for the better, examine their past and present experiences and feelings, and work to find healthier ways to cope.

Seeking help when in emotional distress can be challenging and isolating, and I hope to bring comfort and relief to that process. It can feel like no one understands what you might be experiencing, or may even be difficult to understand your own emotions. In processing those emotions, thoughts, or experiences, you can work towards achieving clarity, insight, and move forward towards acceptance and change. My initial goal in therapy is to make you feel comfortable and to build a therapeutic and healing relationship.

Specializations include: survivors of trauma, adult children of alcoholics, phobias, and anxiety disorders. Simone believes that everyone needs help sometimes. She approaches her work by assessing both problems and strengths. Therapy is a collaborative process of goal setting and working together to get there. Simone is an animal lover and volunteers with a rescue organization in Delaware County. She lives with her husband, two cats, and 3 parrots.

I have an extensive work history in a variety of settings including mental health and drug and alcohol programs as well as in group private practice. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania, with over 11 years of experience in providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
