I find that often a person is suffering with one or more unresolved issues and continues to hope things will change. I work with people from diverse backgrounds in a compassionate manner focusing on improving communication, recovering from past trauma, and developing effective strategies for stress/coping. I am directive at times and will challenge you to take on new perspectives and try out new behaviors, but at a pace that is comfortable to you. I use cognitive-behavioral techniques, role-playing, goal setting, exposure/response prevention, assertiveness training, internal family systems, and others.

New Dawn Family Healing is a family therapy specialized program focused in treating the family members and loved ones of those impacted by Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). New Dawn offers group and individual famly therapy that focus on your individual journey with your loved ones struggle with addiction whether they are in active addiction or have met recovery.
